Real Madrid Football Club have confirmed that Vinicius Junior has signed a new long-term contract with the club, which runs until 2032.
Fullview understands Madrid and Vinicius Jr met on Wednesday to discuss his future amid links to Premier League champions Arsenal.
The club announced on Thursday, 06 August 2026, that the two parties have agreed to extend his deal to 30 June 2032.
“Vinicius Jr has become one of the most important players in one of the most successful periods in our history,” said the club in a statement.
He joined Real from Brazilian side Flamengo in 2018 and signed a contract extension three years ago.He returned to the club on Monday for his first pre-season training session and medical assessment following his World Cup campaign with Brazil.
Vinicius has scored 128 goals in 375 appearances for Real across all competitions, while he has 13 goals in 54 caps for Brazil.
Madrid has also announced the blockbuster signing of 19-year-old winger Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig on a seven-year contract.
He was named the Bundesliga’s Rookie of the Season for 2025-26, starring as Leipzig finished third in the table, and then shone as one of the World Cup’s most exciting young players this summer as Ivory Coast advanced to the round of 32.
