The African National Congress (ANC) is set to unveil its mayoral candidates for the 2026 local government elections at the Sandton Convention Centre.
The candidates were selected through a process focused on competence, ethical leadership and accountability.
The process covers eight metros and 22 secondary cities and towns, and was opened to public nominations.
The announcement comes as the party seeks to retain key municipalities and rebuild support amid concerns over service delivery and governance.
