Jazz and gospel vocalist Judith Sephuma is set to record her next gospel project live at Emperors Palace in Boksburg, East of Johannesburg on 27 November 2026.
The performance, titled Judith Sephuma A Worship Experience, will take place at the Theatre of Marcellus and will mark Sephuma’s return to gospel music nine years after the release of her 2017 album My Worship.
The live recording will combine new material with selected songs from Sephuma’s repertoire, with the audience forming part of the recording. Their vocals and responses will be captured alongside the performance to reflect the atmosphere of the event.
Sephuma said the project reflects her personal faith and experiences since My Worship.
“Worship, for me, is more than a song, it is a lifestyle and a daily surrender to God. Through every season, God’s grace has carried me, turning my pain into purpose and my tears into testimony.”
She added: “Being a child of God means walking in the assurance of His love, and my life is simply a vessel for His glory. Nine years later, we are ready to deliver A Worship Experience.”
The recording will feature Sephuma alongside her musicians and is intended to document the new gospel material in a live setting rather than through a conventional studio recording.
The live recording will feature songs from Judith’s new gospel album, complemented by selected favourites from her celebrated repertoire. Audiences can expect an evening of powerful vocals, worship, reflection, gratitude and celebration.
