The Professional Fighters League returned to Chicago for an action packed night at Wintrust Arena, with Jena Bishop defeating Liz Carmouche by unanimous decision to become the inaugural PFL Women’s Flyweight World Champion.

Bishop (12 wins, 3 losses) used her grappling skills to control the five round main event against former Bellator champion and 2025 PFL World Tournament winner Carmouche (26 wins, 9 losses).

Carmouche made a strong start, but Bishop gradually took control with her ground game. She came close to securing a rear naked choke in the third round, although Carmouche managed to survive. Bishop maintained her advantage through the remaining rounds to secure the judges’ unanimous decision and claim the title.

“I love fighting in Chicago,” Bishop said. “I fought here twice this year, and had a great outcome both times. It’s close to home, so I get my family, and I love the city.”

She added that winning another world title was particularly special. “It feels good to add another world title to my résumé. I think this one means a little bit more than what I’ve done in the past, so I’m really, really excited.”

In the co main event, second ranked featherweight Timur Khizriev (19 wins, 0 losses) edged Gabriel Braga (17 wins, 4 losses) by split decision after 15 competitive minutes.

Braga, a former PFL tournament finalist ranked fifth in the division, pushed Khizriev throughout the contest. However, Khizriev did enough to secure the verdict and preserve his unbeaten professional record.

Bantamweight contender Sarvarjon Khamidov (18 wins, 1 loss) delivered one of the night’s standout finishes, stopping Rafael do Nascimento (13 wins, 3 losses) in the opening round.

Khamidov dropped his opponent with a short left hook to the chin before finishing the fight with a series of hammerfists. The victory marked his second consecutive stoppage win in the PFL and strengthened his position in the 135 pound division.

Undefeated welterweight Oualy Tandia (6 wins, 0 losses) opened the main card with a unanimous decision victory over JP Saint Louis (12 wins, 6 losses).

Making his PFL debut, Tandia combined effective striking with strong grappling to control much of the three round contest. Saint Louis responded well in the second round, but Tandia regained control in the final round to secure the win and maintain his unbeaten record.
