Steenberg police are investigating a gang-related shooting that left an 11-year-old boy dead.
The boy and a 42-year-old man died after being shot in Shepherd Way, Lavender Hill.
One person was injured and is recovering in hospital, police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk said.
He said police were investigating two cases of murder and one of attempted murder.
“Circumstances surrounding this shooting incident are under investigation. The motive can be gang-related,” Van Wyk said.
