Football agent Mike Makaab has confirmed that midfielder Sipho Mbule, who is now a free agent following his departure from Mamelodi Sundowns, has been offered to Kaizer Chiefs — the final decision rests with the club.
Mbule who spent the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Sekhukhune United, is on his way out of Chloorkop after the Betway Premiership champions opted not renew his contract.
“Let me set the record straight. Sipho Mbule has been offered to Kaizer Chiefs,” the agent admitted on X. “It is up to the club to make the decision and we need to respect that decision.”
Mbule, capped four times for the national team, began his career with SuperSport United, where he thrived in the heart of midfield. After an impressive four years, he secured a big move to Sundowns.
Meanwhile Chiefs on Thursday announced they will be heading to the Netherlands for their pre-season preparations next month.
Chiefs won their first piece of silverware in 10 years when they beat rivals Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup final in Durban in May, however the Soweto giants will not participate in the MTN8 next season once again.
