Al Ahly’s legendary manager, Manuel Jose, believes Pitso Mosimane can lead the Reds to accomplish great things at the Club World Cup.
The Egyptians travelled to Qatar on Friday to compete in the 2020 Club World Cup set to take place in Doha.
Their first game will be on February 4th when they face Qatari champions Al-Duhail in the second round.
The winner of the encounter will qualify to the semi-finals where they will face European champions Bayern Munich.
Manuel Jose, who previously led Al Ahly in the 2005, 2006 and 2008 Club World Cups, believes that they can achieve great things under Mosimane in this edition of the tournament.
“Mosimane can help Al Ahly achieve great things at the Club World Cup,” Jose told Al Ahly TV.
My message to Mosimane and the players is don’t be afraid and you must be confident and calm.
“Al Ahly players have a lot of responsibility going into the World Cup, as they’re representing the whole African continent.”
“Al-Duhail aren’t better than Al Ahly, the Reds can win but they just need to be confident,” he concluded.

Jose made a historic achievement by guiding Al Ahly to a third place in the 2006 Club World Cup after beating Auckland City in their opening game and Club America in the third-place decider.
