Kaizer Chiefs Football Club have officially secured the services of striker Khanyisa Mayo on a permanent deal from Algerian side CR Belouizdad.
Chiefs confirmed the transfer on Thursday, announcing that an agreement had been reached with the Algerian club.
Fullview learnt Chiefs paid close to R10 million to secure his services permanently.
“Kaizer Chiefs have completed the permanent signing of Khanyisa Mayo from Algerian giants CR Belouizdad, following his loan spell with the Glamour Boys last season,” Chiefs stated.
“The deal was finalised for an undisclosed fee agreed upon between the two Clubs.
“Mayo, who worked hard during his one-season loan stint, now commits his future to Chiefs as the team prepares for an ambitious campaign under head coach Fernando Da Cruz.
“The 27-year-old forward will be a key part of the squad competing in both the domestic league and continental CAF competitions.
Mayo made 15 appearances last season, scoring only two goals. He becomes the fourth official signing this window after Thabo Moloisane, Renaldo Leaner and Adolf Mtasingwa Bitegeko.
