Minister of Public Works & Infrastructure, Dean Macpherson, is releasing the findings of four investigations undertaken by the Council for the Built Environment (CBE) into a series of recent building and construction collapses across South Africa.
The investigations follow serious incidents at Redcliffe in Verulam, eThekwini; Doornkop in Soweto; Ormonde in Johannesburg; and the Magnolia Development in Sea Point, Cape Town. Across the four incidents, 17 people lost their lives, and 24 people were injured.
