The Alfred Dunhill Championship will for the first time in its history be played at the iconic Durban Country Club from 25-28 February 2027, bringing together one of South Africa’s most prestigious tournaments with one of the country’s most historic courses.
The new date and venue will coincide with an increased prize fund of US$2 million for this Sunshine Tour and DP World Tour co-sanctioned tournament.
Durban Country Club is one of South Africa’s most renowned golf venues, with a long history of hosting major tournaments and some of the biggest names in the game.
The arrival of the Alfred Dunhill Championship adds another major event to the club’s golfing history and gives fans in KwaZulu-Natal the opportunity to watch leading Sunshine Tour and DP World Tour professionals competing on home soil.
The 2027 edition will also come later in the year than the championship’s traditional slot, with the February date forming part of the tournament’s new schedule.
