Papa and Blondie Makhene were a famous South African musical duo and brothers who pioneered local R&B, soul, and disco music in the late 1970s and 1980s.
They released hit tracks and albums like their 1978 single “Don’t Burn Your Bridges” and the 1979 album Tell It All Brothers.
After their split, Papa released a 1985 classic soul/disco track “I’m Still in Love with You” which is widely remembered and celebrated as a timeless South African masterpiece, praised for its powerful, emotive vocals and smooth R&B/disco-infused melody.
