Several body parts have been discovered in a fridge at a residence in Protea Glen,Soweto.
According to Gauteng police,the man’s girlfriend made the gruesome discovery after he left the property to go to the shops to buy food, and she called for help from neighbours.
Gauteng Police spokesperson Brigadier Brenda Muridili confirmed the incident and said an off duty police officer responded to a crime scene at house where human body parts were discovered, a man aged 24 was arrested for murder.
Murudili said investigations are continuing,we’ve summoned all the specialised units of the South African Police Service to comb the scene and collect all the evidence.
She added that the body parts will be sent to the forenstic science laboratory for identification.
The suspect was expected to appear in court soon on a charge of murder.
