Golden Arrows have completed the signing of former Kaizer Chiefs centre forward Ryan Moon on a free transfer.

“Abafana bes’thende are excited to announce the signing of Ryan Moon. Help welcome Ryan to the green and gold family and wish him a successful time with us at the club,” confirmed the Durban outfit.

Moon has previously played for Stellenbosch FC, Maritzburg United, Chiefs and has represented South Africa internationally.

He was released by Kaizer Chiefs in 2019 after the club had declined an option to renew his contract. The striker departed the Maroons for Sweden in March 2021 to join Varbergs BoIS FC in the Allsvenskan the country’s top division, with seven goals in 26 appearances for the club.

Moon, born in Pietermaritzburg, is a product of Maritzburg United and was linked with a reunion with the club.

With reports linking Zimbabwe international Knox Mutizwa away from the KZN side, Moon could serve as his replacement.
