Bafana Bafana played out to a 0-0 draw against Lesotho to wrap up their preparations ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The friendly match was played behind closed doors at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Wednesday.
The first half of this encounter had very little to show as Evidence Makgopa’s shot in anger flew over the bar was the only real attempt at goal.
Broos rung the changes at half-time, with Ricardo Goss, Nyiko Mobbie, Terrence Mashego, Thabang Monare, Thapelo Morena and Zakhele Lepasa all entering the pitch.
With the match played behind closed doors, updates only came from Bafana’s social channels, but they didn’t indicate any real chances for either side in the second half.
South Africa will kick off their campaign against Mali at Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium in Korhogo on Tuesday, take on Namibia on January 21 before ending their group stage matches against Tunisia on January 24.
