Teenager Lamine Yamal became the youngest goalscorer in La Liga history as Barcelona fought back from two goals down to earn a point against Granada.
Aged 16 years and 87 days old, Yamal kickstarted Barcelona’s comeback.
The visitors fell behind after just 17 seconds, with Bryan Zaragoza’s first-half double putting Granada in charge.
But, after Yamal scored in first half added time, Sergi Roberto eventually ended Granada’s resistance with five minutes remaining.
Yamal extended his contract with Barcelona until 2026 earlier in October, with a one billion-euro release clause.
He became Barcelona’s youngest debutant at 15 years and 290 days old against Real Betis in April last season.
This season Yamal went on to become LaLiga’s youngest starter in the 21st century, and also the youngest assist provider in the same time frame.
Last month he also became Spain’s youngest ever player and goalscorer as La Roja thrashed Georgia 7-1 in a Euro 2024 qualifier.
Meanwhile Sevilla sacked coach Jose Luis Mendilibar on Sunday after a poor start to the season.
The 62-year-old was appointed in March and helped steer the Andalusian club to a record-extending seventh Europa League trophy in May, as well as away from the threat of relegation last season.
Sevilla rescued a last-gasp 2-2 draw on Saturday in LaLiga against Rayo Vallecano, but sit 14th in the current campaign, with only two wins from their first eight games.
“Sevilla have decided to relieve Jose Luis Mendilibar of his duties as the club’s head coach following the results at the start of the season,” said Sevilla in a statement.
“The club would like to thank the Basque coach for his services, whose role will go down in the club’s history after winning the Europa League in Budapest.”
Mendilibar helped Sevilla beat Manchester United and Juventus on the road to the Europa League final, where his team won on penalties against Jose Mourinho’s Roma.
