Kaizer Chiefs head coach Stuart Baxter believes new signing Keagan Dolly will bring a new dimension to his side.

Dolly put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal with Chiefs to give Baxter added firepower in attack after spending over four years in France at Ligue 1 outfit Montepellier.

“Keagan Dolly is a national team player,” Baxter said. “He is a player who moved abroad.

“He is undoubtedly a talent and a good lad.

“I think he will want to get back into shape as soon as possible, while he also wants to get back playing as quickly he can.

Baxter went on to laud the club for their ambition in bringing in such a high-profile signing.

“His signing does send out a message as Keagan wanted to come to Chiefs, and we could have ducked it by going for a cheaper option.

But we didn’t, and I think it’s a positive message of intent for Chiefs fans”, Baxter added.

The Bafana Bafana international is racing against time meanwhile to be available for selection to face his former side, Mamelodi Sundowns.

Dolly could face Sundowns for the first time since his move to France four years ago when Chiefs meet Sundowns in the MTN8 on August 14.
