Lucas Holer’s 87th-minute volley secured Freiburg a point, as Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern Munich lost yet more ground on league leaders Bayer Leverkusen.

Mathys Tel equalised for the visitors before half-time, while Jamal Musiala bent a shot into the far corner to put Bayern 2-1 up with 15 minutes to play, before being pulled back three minutes before the end of normal time.
Bayern are now seven points behind unbeaten leaders Bayer Leverkusen, who visit Cologne in their game in hand on Sunday.
It could spell the end of the Munich outfit’s decade of total dominance in German football. They have won a record 11 consecutive Bundesliga titles.
Their poor season has already led to the news Thomas Tuchel will leave his role as head coach at the end of the season.
If Bayern fail to beat Lazio on Tuesday in the Champions League last-16 second leg – they lost the first tie 1-0 in Rome – they are likely to end the season without any silverware.

Meanwhile Eric Dier’s loan move from Tottenham Hotspur to Bayern Munich has been made permanent after he completed the required number of appearances mentioned in his contract, the German Bundesliga club said on Saturday.
The 30-year-old England midfielder joined Bayern on loan in January in a deal to the end of the season after spending a decade with Spurs, reuniting with former teammate Harry Kane.
Bayern said Dier’s contract has been extended until June 2025 with Max Eberl, Bayern’s board member for sport, saying the 30-year-old England international provided “valuable support” in defence.
