Despite his struggles to impress at Kaizer Chiefs, Njabulo Blom now embarks on a new chapter with Vietnamese champions Thep Xanh Nam Dinh F.C.
The 25-year-old returned to struggling MLS outfit St. Louis City after Chiefs opted not to trigger his purchase clause.
St. Louis City are yet to confirm whether Blom’s move to Thep Xanh Nam Dinh is permanent or a loan.
Thep Xanh Nam Dinh were formed 60 years ago as Nghiep Ha Nam Ninh. But they changed their name to Nam Dinh in 1997. The club is also known as TXNĐ.
They have won the Vietnamese V.League 1 three times, including during the past season and were runners-up twice.
“Welcome Kyle Hudlin and Njabulo Blom to the big Southern Blue Steel family,” wrote Nam Dinh on their Instagram platform.
“Kyle Hudlin, born on 15/6/2000, is a British citizen and plays as a striker. He has a remarkable height of 2m1. Before moving to the Southern Steelers, Kyle Hudlin played for English football teams such as Huddersfield Town B and Newport County.
“Njabulo Blom, born on 11/12/1999, is a South African citizen and plays as a midfielder. He was a familiar face of the American Professional Soccer League – MLS, when he used to play for St. Louis CITY SC. Njabulo Blom was also summoned up and played for the South African National Team.”
This new chapter presents an opportunity to reignite his career in the Vietnamese top flight.
