Branden Grace, a nine-time DP World Tour champion, officially announced his return to full-time competition on the DP World Tour for the upcoming season.
The South African star and former world number 10, renowned for holding the record for the lowest single-round score in men’s Major Championship history, a 62 at the 2017 Open Championship, brings a wealth of experience and championship heritage back to the Tour.
The 38-year-old Grace boasts 15 professional victories worldwide, including two PGA Tour titles and landmark wins on the DP World Tour such as the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, the Nedbank Golf Challenge, the Investec SA Open and also the Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek.
“Returning to the DP World Tour feels like coming home,” said Grace. “Some of the proudest moments of my career have happened on this Tour, from my four-time win breakthrough season in 2012 to winning the Investec South African Open in front of home fans. I am hungrier than ever to compete and write the next chapter of my career on the global stage.”
Reflecting on his recent seasons competing on the LIV Tour alongside fellow South Africans Louis Oosthuizen, Charl Schwartzel and Dean Burmester, Grace highlighted the strong bonds formed during that chapter.
“My time on the LIV Tour was a memorable chapter, especially getting to travel the world and compete alongside some of my closest friends in the game. The camaraderie, team spirit, and lifelong friendships we shared on and off the course are memories I will always cherish as I take this next step in my journey.”
Grace’s return bolsters the global strength of the DP World Tour, where he previously built one of the most remarkable records in modern South African golf. In addition to his individual victories, Grace holds an impressive international record, highlighted by a perfect 5–0–0 performance for the International Team at the 2015 Presidents Cup.
