Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos announced the preliminary squad to face Uganda and South Sudan in two 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in September 2024.
The game will start at 18h00 on Friday, 06 September 2024. The tickets for this tie are already on sale at all TicketPro outlets.
After facing Uganda at Orlando Stadium, they will travel to South Sudan to play their second match in the group on Tuesday, 10 September 2024.
Bafana Bafana are drawn in Group K alongside Congo, South Sudan, and Uganda. The two top nations from the group will qualify for the 2025 AFCON tournament due to be held in Morocco.
The tournament is set to start from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.
Meanwhile South African International Thabo Mnyamane has announced his retirement from professional football aged 32.
Mnyamane has been without a club for two years since suffering a knee injury with his last club Marumo Gallants.
Prior to that, he lit up the Premier Soccer League with SuperSport and the Univesity of Pretoria where he was signed after staring in the Varsity Football Tournament with North-West University in 2014.
