Manchester United rallied past Fulham  to go back on top of the Premier League standings with a 2-1 win on Wednesday.

The win at Craven Cottage gives United a two-point lead over Leicester City and Manchester City, and six points over Liverpool, who play on Thursday.

Fulham caught the visitors off-guard when Ademola Lookman nabbed an early lead for Fulham after latching onto Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa’s throughball.

But United equalised in the 21st minute when Edison Cavani pounced on the ball parried by Fulham keeper Alphonse Areola after he couldn’t hold onto Bruno Fernandes’ attempt.

Paul Pogba gave United the match winner in the 65th minute when he curled in a strike into the top corner.

The win extends United’s unbeaten run away from home in the league to 17 games and more importantly takes them to 40 points.

Meanwhile Manchester City duo Kevin de Bruyne and Lucy Bronze have been included in Uefa’s 2020 Fans’ Teams of the Year.

England defender Bronze was named in the first ever women’s Team of the Year.

Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk was the other Premier League player named in the men’s team, after nearly six million fans’ votes were cast online.

Cristiano Ronaldo was selected for the 15th time, appearing in every Fans’ Team of the Year since 2007.

Lionel Messi, who scored 26 goals for Barcelona in European and domestic competition in 2020, featured for the 12th time.
