Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Renaldo Learner as they strengthen their goalkeeping department ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Learner was a free agent after leaving Sekhukhune United at the end of the last campaign.

The club confirmed the news on Monday, stating: “Kaizer Chiefs have strengthened their goalkeeping department with the signing of renowned shot-stopper Renaldo Leaner.

“Born in Cape Town 28 years ago, Leaner arrives at Naturena with a wealth of experience, having impressed last season and earned a number of call-ups to the Bafana Bafana national team.

“We proudly welcome Renaldo to the Khosi Nation!”

Despite his consistent form, the Babina Noko technical team decided to move in a different direction, allowing the Soweto giants to swoop in and secure his services for the new season.

His statistics reflect a goalkeeper capable of competing at the highest level, having recorded 15 clean sheets across 45 appearances during his time with his previous club.

Meanwhile Tashreeq Morris has left the Chiefs after the two parties agreed to terminate the contract of the 32 year-old striker.

Morris is now a free agent and will look to find another club ahead of the 2026/27 Premier Soccer League season.

He signed for Chiefs in the January 2025 transfer window, but had his injury problems and made only 14 appearances in all competitions, netting just one goal. That goal did come in May, in a 2-0 Betway Premiership win away to Sekhukhune United.
