Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the departure of Uruguayan playmaker Gaston Sirino, who is set to be unveiled at Durban City.
Sirino spent the last two seasons at Chiefs, making 61 appearances (27 starts) and scoring five goals.
Chiefs thanked the experienced midfielder for his service and contribution to the club.
“The Club would like to express sincere gratitude to Papi for his dedication and contribution over the past two seasons,” Chiefs said in a statement.
“The experienced Uruguayan midfielder played a key role in helping Amakhosi achieve success since he arrived at the Club. We thank Gaston for his commitment and passion, as well as all the memories he leaves behind at Naturena.”
Chiefs, who are currently in Europe for pre-season, have already sealed the services of Thabo Moloisane who came in as a free agent after serving Stellenbosch FC for a couple of years, as well as ex-Sekhukhune United custodian Renaldo Leaner.
Aden McCarthy was sold to Azerbaijan outfit Sabah who are in the UEFA Champions League, while the likes of, George Matlou, Happy Mashiane and Tashreeq Morris were seen as surplus to requirements and let go.
Sirino’s move forms part of Durban City’s preparations for their Betway Premiership campaign, with the club continuing to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
