Chippa United have sacked coach Morgan Mammila and has been replaced by former coach Kurt Lentjies, who returned to the team as an assistant earlier this month.
The Chilli Boys are 13th in the league and three points clear of the relegation zone.
Mammila replaced Daine Klate earlier in the campaign and started his reign with four wins on the trot. However, he’s only picked up one more victory in the following 10 league games.
As a consequence, the Chilly Boys have dropped down the league table and are now just sitting three points above the relegation/promotion playoff spot, level on 24 points with Swallows.
Mammila joins a long-list of coaches among them the likes of Gavin Hunt, Dan Malesela, Manqoba Mngqithi, Ernst Middendorp and Kosta Papic who have all been shown the door by Chippa.
