Dan Malesela has rejoined to Marumo Gallants after resigning from his position as a co-coach at Royal AM football club.
Despite refuting reports that he has resigned from his post at Royal AM. He has today been unveiled as the new head coach of Marumo Gallants.
Marumo Gallants released a statement confirming his appointment.
Malesela was relieved of his duties at Gallants despite leading them to the CAF Confederation Cup by virtue of leading them to the Nedbank Cup final, where they lost out to treble-winners Mamelodi Sundowns.
While he was lauded for the incredible turnaround after assuming the role at the time of languishing at the bottom of the DStv Premiership, his style of play and losing only six of the 25 games across all competitions touted him for potentially a bigger move.
His appointment comes following the resignation of French Moroccan coach Romain Folz earlier this month.
Malesela will have the opportunity to use the international break to familiarise himself to surroundings he previously dwelled in.
