DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival will continue in 2026, without MultiChoice’s financial backing or naming rights sponsorship, the organisers confirmed.
This follows termination of sponsorship contract by the French entertainment giant Canal+, parent company to Multichoice.
Canal+ is implementing aggressive cost-cutting measures, including scaling back marketing and sponsorships.
In a statement, the Delicious International Food and Music Festival, acknowledged the end of the sponsorship partnership.
“The Delicious International Food and Music Festival would like to extend sincere thanks to DStv for 12 incredible years as our headline sponsor. Their support has played a meaningful role in shaping the festival into one of South Africa’s most loved lifestyle events.
“As this valued partnership comes to a close, we are excited to step into a new chapter.
“The Delicious Festival remains an independently owned and produced event, built to evolve and built to last. We remain committed to delivering the world-class music, exceptional food, and rich cultural experiences that our audience has come to expect,” read the statement.
Organisers also added that the event will take place over two days on September 19 and 20 at Kyalami Grand Prix.
While music and food lovers await announcements regarding lineup, here are some of international artists who have taken to the stage, Jill Scott, Lauryn Hill, Burna Boy, Maxwell, Erykah Badu and Wycleaf Jean.
