Due to consistent improvement in available generating capacity, load shedding will remain suspended until 16:00 on Friday, Eskom said on Sunday.
The evening peak demand forecast is 23 471MW. During the colder months earlier this year, peak demand sometimes breached 33 000MW.
Unplanned outages are currently at 12 158MW and planned maintenance is 8 728MW of generation capacity, Eskom said.
Load shedding has been suspended since Thursday.
Eskom will closely monitor the power system and communicate should any significant changes occur.
The country is currently experiencing much lower demand due to the festive season, while unplanned outages are also below 12,500MW.
2023 has been the worst year on record for load shedding by a significant margin, with South Africans experiencing more than double the blackout hours than in 2022.
