The City of Tshwane fire department has completed extinguishing the fire at the Eskom’s substation in Kwagga, Pretoria West.
This follows an explosion at the substation which caused power outages in several areas in Tshwane.
The outage has affected all substations fed By Kwagga – Atteridgeville, Zebra, Pretoria North, Gomsand, Orchards, Rosslyn, Soshanguve, Pretoria CBD, Bellom, Pumulani, up to Waltloo.
Fullview understands it’s not a transformer that exploded.

Fire department has completed extinguishing the fire. The City of Tshwane Technicians are on site and preparing to start energising areas in phases. Update will follow once the switching operation has started @Selbybok

The City of Tshwane has launched the investigation into the explosion. The investigation aims to determine the explosion’s cause and assess the damages.
