Former radio presenter KCi remembered as family dismisses suicide speculation.

The memorial service for former radio presenter Mthobeli “KCi” August took place at the Sandton Assemblies of God in Sandton,Johannesburg.

The former uMhlobo Wenene FM presenter’s lifeless body was discovered in his Johannesburg home on 29 December.

A cause of death hasn’t been confirmed, and the family have asked for privacy as they mourn their loss.

The family spokesman Luphumlo Ngcayisa said: “What we know and what we have been told by the pathologists is that it’s suspected that he fell after a bath. He was found naked, and he had a wound to his head. An autopsy has been conducted but we are yet to receive the results.”

According to Ngcayisa, the late presenter was working mostly as a voice-over artist and was in the process of launching his own YouTube channel.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, 6 January at Wanderers Stadium in Adelaide, Eastern Cape.
