Keagan Dolly has confirmed his departure from Kaizer Chiefs and is now a free agent following the expiration of his contract after joining the club in 2021.
A spokesperson of Dolly agency, Siyavuma Sports Group (SSG), confirmed to iDiski Times that Dolly’s exit is official and will now look towards his next move.
“Keagan is fit and will now assess the way forward from the options he’s received having known to be heading towards the end of his contract at Chiefs. It was confirmed today and we’re sure it won’t be too long before his next move is secured,” the representative stated.
Dolly scored 14 goals and registered 11 assists in 67 games since joining Chiefs on a free transfer from Ligue 1 side Montpellier in July 2021.
Chiefs have also released Siyethemba Sithebe and Sifiso Hlanti, after the club decided not to retain their services ahead of the new season.
Meanwhile Njabulo Ngcobo is another player whose contract Chiefs didn’t renew, and he’s already signed with Sekhukhune United ahead of the new season.
Chiefs returned for pre-season on Monday, where incoming assistant coach Fernando da Cruz and goalkeeper coach Ilyes Mzoughi were introduced to the players.
New coach Nasreddine Nabi is expected in the country sometime next month, subject to playing the Throne Cup final in a yet-to-be-confirmed date with his current club FAR Rabat.
