Government’s security ministers is briefing the media on their efforts to try and bring the crippling riots under control.
Looting continued in parts of the country on Tuesday morning.
Troops were on Monday deployed to two provinces.
President Cyril Ramaphosa warned the protests will have a negative impact on different sectors in the country and will result in the loss of innocent lives.
