The Premier Soccer League (PSL) confirmed Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban as the venue to host the MTN8 final between Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.
The highly anticipated final will take place on Saturday, 10 October 2026, scheduled to kick off at 18h00.
The announcement was made live on SuperSport on Monday evening, 28 September 2026.
The league also conducted the formal administrative draw to determine hosting logistics for the final day.
Pirates were drawn as the designated home side, while Sundowns will be the away team, who have made it to the finals for the first time in three seasons.
The iconic stadium has undergone a period of refurbishment and rehabilitation work.
Work on the 2010 FIFA World Cup stadium began in 2024, with the eThekwini Municipality claiming the cost of the broader project at an estimated R284 million.
The stadium’s pitch has also undergone rehabilitation work as part of efforts to restore the facility to international standards.
The stadium has had a relatively quiet start to the 2026/27 football season and has not been part of the regular PSL fixture rotation.
