Mosimane to be conferred with honorary doctorate by University of Johannesburg.

Former Bafana Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane to receive an honorary doctorate from University of Johannesburg (UJ) in recognition of his notable success  as a football player and coach.

Mosimane will be honoured alongside authors, a distinguished scholar and scientist, as well as a trailblazer in the financial industry.

The university’s official website stated that Mosimane achieved success in the world of football as a coach and as a player and achieved many awards and titles.

The university praised the coach who won two African Champions League titles with Al-Ahly and stressed that he demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic acumen, in addition to his constant ability to motivate and inspire the team to provide the best levels.

Pitso is no stranger to individual honours, having claimed the PSL Coach of the Season award on five separate occasions during his time with Mamelodi Sundowns.

He has also been honoured by the Confederation of African Football as the Caf Coach of the Year.

It should be noted that Mosimane is currently coaching the Saudi Abha team, and the coach is doing his best to keep the team in the professional league.

In the same context, Mosimane’s coaching future has become the subject of media attention, as a number of clubs including Kaizer Chiefs and Wydad Casablanca want to secure the coach’s service.
