Rapper Nasty C is marking a decade since the release of his breakthrough album Bad Hair by inviting fans to take part in a recreation of its iconic artwork.
Announcing the initiative on social media, the rapper reflected on the role his supporters played in shaping the original visual concept. “The first Bad Hair cover was built by the fans who believed in me before the world did. Ten years later, I’m inviting you to be a part of it again.”
The original Bad Hair cover, released in 2016, stood out for its unconventional design. Instead of a standard portrait, the artwork was created as a large photo mosaic made up of hundreds of fan-submitted images.
“This campaign is really about the fans,” says Nasty C. “When I dropped Bad Hair, I was just a kid with a dream. Ten years later, I can look back and see how many people have been part of this story. Every stream, every show, every repost, every memory. The fans built this.”
Over the past ten years, Nasty C has become one of Africa’s biggest music success stories, earning multi-platinum records, international collaborations, sold-out tours and global recognition while helping redefine what African hip-hop can achieve on the world stage.
From Bad Hair and Strings & Bling to international festival stages and chart success across continents, his rise has consistently been powered by a fanbase that has supported every chapter of the journey.
Fans can now visit nastycsa.com to upload their photos and become part of a collective artwork commemorating ten years of Bad Hair and the legacy that continues to grow. The campaign development and creative strategy was helmed by newly founded creative agency, Society Studios.
