Percy Tau has parted ways with Egyptian giants Al Ahly. Tau follows Pitso Mosimane who had brought him to the club, after a short spell at English club Brighton.
Tau enjoyed regular game time while under Mosimane, Tau signed for Egyptian Premier League side Al Ahly SC in 2021 on a two year contract.
He made 22 appearances finding the back of the net 5 times
Tau played in the 2021 CAF Super Cup on 22 December, in which he assisted Al Ahly’s goal in the eventual penalty shootout victory, in which he scored.
Meanwhile Zamalek have been crowned 2022/23 Egyptian Premier League champions for a second consecutive year following Pyramids FC’s defeat to Future.
This league title marks Zamalek’s 15th since its inception in 1911 and it becomes only the fourth time the club has managed to win back-to-back league titles.
Zamalek will be handed the league title to lift on Tuesday following their clash with Ittihad of Alexandria and then will shift their focus on the Egypt Cup, where they will face Al Masry in the quarter-finals.
