Orlando Pirates are set to meet with coach Josef Zinnbauer this week with his future at the club being top of the agenda.
Zinnbauer’s future with Pirates remains uncertain after a faction of Bucs fans demanded he leave the club, with a planned march having recently been called off.
Despite failing to put up a convincing challenge for the DStv Premiership title in his second season at the club, the German coach ended their six-year trophy drought after clinching the MTN 8 trophy this past season.
According to a source close to the Soweto giants, the 51-year-old is set to meet with management to present his technical report for the 2020/21 season.
“Zinnbauer is set to meet with the management this week before being allowed to go home to Germany for holidays,” says the source.
“But there is nothing sinister. It’s a normal procedure at the end of the season for the coach to submit his technical report. Obviously, his future will also be discussed.”
Zinnbauer is left with just one season on his contract, which will run up in June 2022.
