Orlando Pirates Football Club have officially completed the signing of Cameroon striker Marou Souaibou from Coton Sport.

In a statement released on Thursday, Pirates revealed that Marou will be contracted to them until 2025.

This means the Cameroon international has agreed a two-and-a-half year deal with Pirates who have been struggling in front of goal.

Marou arrived in South Africa last weekend ahead of sealing a move to the Soweto giants from Coton Sport.

He arrives at Pirates with an impressive profile after being with the Indomitable Lions at the 2022 Fifa World Cup. He was initially included in the Cameroon squad for the ongoing 2022 African Nations Championship but was excused to focus on his transfer to Pirates.

Pirates were competing for Marou’s signature against clubs in Germany and France.
