SA Police Services (SAPS) in Free State launched an investigation into a video of an unknown elderly woman who was seen been tortured by a man.
In a video that has gone viral, an elderly woman appears to be seriously tortured by an unknown perpetrator. The Free State police spokesperson, Loraine Earl, says the police opened an investigation into the matter and they are now tracing the victim who appears in a video.
This was after Provincial Commissioner, Baile Motswenyane, instructed a team of detectives to trace the victim to investigate the matter.

She says that even though a case has not been reported to the police, abuse, and torture of women are taken seriously.
Motswenyane has since instructed the investigators to move quickly and ensure they leave no stone unturned.
