The Department of Transport and Community Safety in Limpopo has confirmed that nine people were killed in a head-on collision on the N1 bypass near Mall of the North in Polokwane this morning.
Department’s spokesperson Tidimalo Chuene said an SUV lost control and collided head-on with a truck.
“Four male and five female passengers from the SUV were killed bringing the total number of fatalities to nine, “she said.
Chuene said fatigue was suspected as the possible cause of the horror crash.
