Primedia Broadcasting appointed Mzo Jojwana and Kelvin Storie as co-CEOs, to form part of its strategic leadership evolution, focusing on radio, digital growth and commercial expansion.

In a statement Primedia said, “The dual leadership model is crafted to address two equally vital priorities; protecting and growing Primedia Broadcasting’s market-leading radio and content business, whilst simultaneously driving digital innovation, audience engagement, and incremental revenue streams.

“This progressive structure reflects the company’s commitment to balancing trusted content and commercial strength with forward looking digital growth, a balance critical to long-term sustainable success.”

Jojwana brings nearly two decades of experience in South African radio and media, having held key programming and leadership roles including station manager of 702 and Chief Content Officer at Primedia Broadcasting.

His stewardship spans leading the group’s flagship brands such as 702, 947, CapeTalk, Kfm 94.5 and Eyewitness News, with responsibility for content strategy, audience growth, and operational excellence.

A graduate of Gordon Institute of Business Science and recognised industry figure, Mzo highlights the value of trusted content and audience relationships, stating, “As Primedia Broadcasting enters its next phase of growth, my focus is on continuing to strengthen the foundations of our business through exceptional content, trusted brands, deep audience relationships, and marketleading radio stations.”

Storie, with over two decades in media and marketing leadership, joins as Co-CEO after a meteoric rise from Primedia’s Chief Intelligence Officer through to Chief Commercial Officer.

Known for his insight-driven approach to commercial growth and innovation, Kelvin spearheads Primedia Broadcasting’s expanding integrated offering across audio, video, digital, and experiential platforms.

He views the co-ceo model as vital to unlocking deeper commercial potential. “Our market is evolving rapidly.”

Jonathan Procter, Group CEO of Primedia emphasises the strategic rationale, “Primedia Broadcasting is evolving its leadership model to position the business decisively for the future. The combination of Kelvin’s commercial acumen and Mzo’s content expertise formalises our complementary focus on preserving our core broadcast dominance and accelerating innovation in digital. Their combined strengths embody the skills necessary to lead our industry confidently through a fast growing market.”

Primedia Broadcasting invites clients, partners, and the industry at large to join in supporting Kelvin and Mzo as they guide the company confidently into its next chapter of excellence and growth.
