Holders Paris St Germain cruised to a 3-0 victory over Stade de Reims in the Coupe de France final on Saturday, claiming a third domestic trophy for the second successive season, and preparing for next week’s Champions League final in style.
Only 10 clubs have won a domestic league, domestic cup and European Cup treble but PSG have the chance to become the 11th when they face Inter Milan in the Champions League final in Munich next Saturday.
Having clinched the league at the end of April they made it a domestic double with the win over Reims.
Two goals in three minutes from Bradley Barcola put PSG in command, getting his first in the 16th minute when he drove into the bottom corner before tapping in for his second.
Achraf Hakimi then turned in a cross at the back post to make it 3-0 just before half-time.
Ousmane Dembele had a couple of opportunities to do further damage in the second half but PSG were unable to add to their three goals.
PSG will celebrate this latest success before switching focus to the Champions League final as Luis Enrique looks to become just the second manager to win the Treble twice, having previously managed it with Barcelona in 2015.
Pep Guardiola is currently the only manager who has won two Trebles, with Barcelona in 2009 and Manchester City in 2023.
Reims must now attempt to secure Ligue 1 survival with the second leg of their relegation playoff at home to Metz on Thursday. The sides are level at 1-1 after the first leg.
