The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has announced the availability of free Park and Ride facilities for spectators attending the highly anticipated 2025 MTN8 Final at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday, 13 September 2025.
The match will kick-off at 6pm CAT.
Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch will take centre stage in a rematch of last year’s final which saw the Buccaneers claim their third straight MTN8 title with a 3-1 win.
In a statement, the league said, “The Park and Ride facilities will open at 13h00 on match day and are free of charge. Access will be granted upon presentation of a valid match ticket, and ticket holders will be able to park their vehicles and board a shuttle bus directly to Mbombela Stadium, with return services provided after the match.”

Ticket holders are reminded that stadium gates will open at 14h00, and early arrival is strongly encouraged to ensure smooth access and to enjoy the pre-match entertainment programme.
Mbombela, known for its giraffe-inspired roof and zebra-striped seats, has hosted three major football cup finals to date — including fixtures in the 2010 Fifa World Cup, the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, and the 2024 Nedbank Cup final between Mamelodi Sundowns and Pirates.
The stadium has a seating capacity of 43 500. The main features of the stadium are the 18 majestic orange giraffe columns that support the roof structure and the black and white zebra skin patterned seating.
The bright colours of the stadium create a vibrant and friendly atmosphere. The close proximity of the playing field to the general stands ensures an intimacy not often to be found at major international stadia.
Mbombela is 40 kilometres from the world famous Kruger Park where the best of African wildlife can be found.
The construction cost of the stadium at R1,2 billion as well as the cost per covered seat was the lowest of the new World Cup Stadia.
