The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has officially confirmed the dates, venues, and kick-off times for the upcoming 2026/27 MTN8 quarter-finals.
The reigning champions Orlando Pirates will be aiming to make history by lifting the trophy for an unprecedented fifth consecutive time and also equalling rivals Kaizer Chiefs tally of 15 titles in the tournament.
Chiefs returns to the competition after missing out on the top-eight bracket for the past two seasons.
Action kicks off on Saturday, 8 August, when defending champions Pirates host Durban City at the Orlando Amstel Arena in Soweto, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00.
Later that day, Mamelodi Sundowns kick-off their 2026/27 campaign against Polokwane City at the Lucas Moripe Stadium at 18:00.
Rise and Shine enter the clash under new leadership, with Willy Moloto taking the reins following the departure of coach Phuti Mohafe. The latter has since joined Marumo Gallants as head coach.
On Sunday, 9 August, AmaZulu FC lock horns with Sekhukhune United at Chatsworth Stadium in Durban at 15:00.
The quarter-final weekend wraps up at 18:00, when Chiefs take on Golden Arrows at the FNB Stadium in Soweto.
In a statement released on Monday, the PSL also announced that ticket information will be announced later today.
“The matches, dates, kick-off times and venues for the MTN8 quarter-finals are all set. Ticket information to be confirmed,” reads the PSL statement.
Meanwhile the PSL has issued a 4-week ban on fixtures at the uMhlathuze Sports Stadium starting 13 August 2026, following a recent league inspection. Richards Bay will have to move their upcoming home matches.
