Premier Soccer League (PSL) chairman Irvin Khoza, on behalf of the NSL Executive Committee and all member clubs, has paid tribute to the late former football administrator Godfrey Gxowa.
Gxowa‚has been associated with Moroka Swallows for almost half a century,one of the oldest and prominent football clubs.
PSL in a statement described Gxowa as one of the remaining astute football administrators from the SASL, NPSL and NSL.
His knowledge of the evolution of professional football in our country was unparalleled. Although the extent of the grief and pain is not felt the same, the football family is poorer at a time when we are documenting the history of professional football,said the PSL.

PSL has extended their condolences to the Gxowa family for the loss of the patriarch of the family.
The Dube Birds were relegated from the Premier Soccer League (PSL) in May 2015, and have now completed their resurrection from the ashes.
Gauteng MEC of Education Panyaza Lesufi led the rebirth of the club together with businessmen David Mogashoa and Sipho Xulu.
They raised funds to buy the status of Maccabi FC.

Swallows FC has since joined the Premier Soccer League (PSL) to extend their condolences to the Gxowa family.
