The start of the IPL match between the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Gujarat Titans has been delayed by a wet outfield. Titans captain, Hardik Pandya, won the toss and chose to bowl first but an earlier storm from the Bay of Bengal resulted in a delayed start.
The Titans enjoy a four-way tie at the top of the log but with a game in hand on the other three teams and will go top with 12 points from eight games if they win today.
The home side are languishing down in seventh place with just three wins and six points from their eight games and are in serious need of victory to stay in touch with the leaders. In-form England opener, Jason Roy, has been ruled out for the home side with a calf strain.
