The Presidency on Wednesday confirmed that it has received the amended version of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry report from Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, who chaired the Commission.
The release follows the granting of permission by the Pretoria High Court on the 4th of October 2022, to allow Zondo to make corrections to the final volume of the report which was submitted to the Presidency in June 2022.
The corrections were to be made in Volume 2 and Volume 3 of the report. Both were handed to President Cyril Ramaphosa on 22 June.
It delves deeper into the Vrede Dairy farm project, and former State Security Head, Arthur Fraser, amongst others.
The amended reported is available and can be downloaded from the Presidency’s website.
Ramaphosa has to submit the state capture report on 22 October to parliament, and also present an action plan for implementation of the report’s 358 recommendations.
“We are looking to see how it touches on our own implementation deadlines, [but] the implementation plan is being finalised. The political will is there.
“When we bring the implementation plan to parliament that is when the will of the government will become clear that indeed we are serious and we have the will to do so,” Ramaphosa said during a Q&A session on 29 September.
He further said the plan would indicate which recommendations have been prioritised for implementation.
