Crystal Palace cancelled a press conference to preview Monday’s Premier League game against Everton after under-pressure manager Roy Hodgson taken ill during training.
The announcement came less than an hour before Hodgson was due to speak to media.
In a short statement, the club said that Hodgson felt unwell on Thursday morning. No further details have been provided.
There have been multiple reports that he will be replaced by ex-Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner.
Glasner guided Frankfurt to Europa League glory in 2022 following a penalty shoot-out victory over Rangers in Seville.
The 49-year-old, who has also managed Wolfsburg, has been out of work since leaving the Bundesliga side last summer.
Crystal Palace are currently 15th in the Premier League and five points above the relegation zone, having won just six of 24 games so far this season.
