SA Police Services (SAPS) issued a warrant of arrest on Wednesday, 19 August 2026, for the 40-year-old Hlengiwe Buthelezi, who is the third suspect to be pursued in the murder case of the late media personality Warrick “Dj Warras” Stock.

Buthelezi is being sought for alleged conspiracy to commit murder of Stock.

Stock was shot outside the Zambesi Building in Johannesburg’s central business district on December 16, 2025.

SAPS released an identikit of Buthelezi after a J50 warrant of arrest was issued by the police’s Serious and Violent Crimes Unit.

According to the investigating officer at the time, Buthelezi was part of an informal committee illegally collecting rent from residents of a hijacked building.

She is also alleged to have provided the DJ’s pictures to the man who now stands accused of orchestrating the murder, which is Victor Mthethwa Majola.

Majola, 44, appeared in the Johannesburg High Court on Wednesday, 19 August 2026.

He faces charges of premeditated murder and conspiracy to commit murder in connection with Stock’s killing.

Majola is charged alongside 25-year-old Joaquim Armando Pacula, who pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

During the proceedings, Majola’s lawyer Piet Du Plessis asked for a postponement to obtain financial instructions.

State opposed Majola’s application for a postponement, saying they’re ready to proceed with the trial after providing the defence with the relevant documentation

However the Johannesburg High Court granted a final postponement for Du Plessis to obtain the instructions.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) Gauteng spokesperson Magaboke Mohlatlole said the defence sought the postponement to obtain financial instructions.

Mohlatlole said, said the court granted the postponement, which it marked as final, to allow Majola’s counsel sufficient time to secure funding. The matter was postponed to September 18.
