Sekhuhune United continued their perfect start to the 2025/26 Betway Premiership with a 3-0 thrashing of Orbit College at the Dobsonville stadium on Tuesday evening.

Sekhukhune dominated from the early stages, threatening a goal in the opening quarter hour via half-chances for Makgalwa and Bradley Grobler.

Keletso Makgalwa was the most prominent attacking force for the visitors and he nearly opened the scoring in the 37th minute, picking up a loose ball in the penalty area before slicing a shot which rebounded off the frame of the goal.

Babina Noko were finally rewarded with a goal in the 40th minute, as Makgalwa played an in-swinging cross from the left which picked out the late run of Vusumuzi Mncube, who easily finished with a controlled volley for 1-0.

Orbit did not learn their lesson from the concession of the first goal, as on the hour mark Sekhukhune doubled their advantage with a very similar effort: Makgalwa provided a cross from the left and this time Mncube, rather than volley past the goalkeeper’s right hand, glanced a header beyond his left for 2-0.

And Makgalwa made it a hat-trick of assists four minutes later, driving toward the by-line in the box before clipping a cross to the middle which was headed home for 3-0 by substitute Tshepo Mokoane, with one of his first touches after rising off the bench.

Sekhukhune eased off the throttle in the final quarter of the match but controlled proceedings to see out an impressive victory.
