Siwelele Football Club has reshuffled their backroom staff and hierarchy as part of the club’s restructuring amid string of poor results.
The club has parted ways with CEO Stan Matthews. The experienced executive had remained with the club following Siwelele’s acquisition of the PSL status of SuperSport United.
Additionally, assistant coach Andre Arendse, who was also retained from the SuperSport franchise, has been relieved of his duties.
Chairman Calvin Le John made the announcement on Sunday.
Lerato Kholoanyane has been announced as the club’s new acting CEO while Le John also confirmed that former Orlando Pirates and Bloemfontein Celtic defender Willem Jackson will fill in the assistant role vacated by Arendse.
Le John further confirmed that various players who have not shown heart for the team, will see their contracts terminated.
He said the club will announce new signings as they look to move away from a precarious 14th spot on the Betway Premiership standings.
Siwelele are scheduled to play Orlando Pirates on Tuesday. They then face Marumo Gallants on Saturday in the Betway Premiership.
